Kirk, bless his heart, usually takes a backseat on this blog. Since Dayton joined us, he's become the most popular topic at our house. Today I'll break from the usual Dayton Diary and give the husband some air time.
Kirk is awesome. He's totally supportive of me being home with Dayton and works hard to make that possible. That is a blessing that I am so grateful for; though sometimes I miss the good 'ole days working as a nurse, I wouldn't trade this time with Dayton for anything. I've got to soak him up while I can, before he turns into a teenager and doesn't let me plaster him with kisses or tell him how cute his chubby thighs are.
Anyways, I digress. Every month Kirk has one or two weeks that are sort of like "heck-week" at football camp--he's up early to go visit a bunch of dealerships and then gets back home and has to work until late (sometimes very late). He doesn't complain and is still actually a nice person to be around despite the stress that comes with all that work.
He works hard and does well in whatever he's doing. Some much deserved recognition came this week when he got an email from one of the big boys at Ford, congratulating him for being ranked 7th, yes seventh, overall in the NATION for Ford's zone managers. Woohoo! He's awesome, and it's good to see him get a pat on the back for a job well done.
Beyond all that awesomeness, he is a great dad. Here's a fun little clip of the usual greeting Daddy gets when he comes home from work every day.
We love you Kirk!
