::sigh::
Do you ever wonder how you got it so good? I've been having those days lately. The General Relief Society broadcast and President Uchtdorf just magnified that feeling of "luckiness" by ten. Allow me to indulge and dedicate a post to a few of my happy thoughts.
Love is a wonderful thing. I love my husband, and I love that he is in love with me and with our baby. The other day he told me, "I live for the weekends when I get to spend time with you and Dayton." No lie! He really said that. What a smooth talker... :o)
Pennsylvania is great. Colorado was great. And even Arkansas was great. I never thought I would experience so many different places, and there will be more to come before we put down our roots. I had planned on living in the 'Burg for the rest of my life, but it has been good for me to live outside of my "safe zone." (for my Rexburg friends, I LOVE Rexburg and miss it and have nothing against it--no offense is intended!) We've had a blast living in different places.
Keeping in mind my friends who may have tender feelings about this, I feel blessed to be a mom. Dayton is a champ and he gives the best sloppy-open-mouth kisses ever! And we are seriously being taken care of--Kirk has always been blessed with a good job that meets our needs, so I get to be with Dayton everyday. Who wouldn't want to hang out with this monkey all day?
Another happy thought: Thank goodness for family and friends! That includes you and you and you...aaaand you! Y'all are great, to borrow a phrase from my Southern friends.
Lastly, Christmas is coming! And before that, there is Halloween and Thanksgiving intermingled with fall leaves, crisp air, apple cider, warm sweaters, snugly blankets...ahhhhhh. To hasten the changing seasons, we supped on pumpkin pancakes with apple cider syrup. Delish! A perfect way to jump into Fall. You can find the recipe here. You're welcome!
