A Pleasant Alternative

Meet my wallpaper.

This lovely pattern graces the walls of our kitchen. It makes me want to lick the walls (think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...flavored wallpaper? Anyway...).

The kitchen would look great if the wall paper were taken down and the walls were painted a nice warm shade of green, red, or even a neutral cream. Let's be honest, it wouldn't take much to improve the current look. However, me thinks that's too big of a project to tackle right now. So I found something else to think about.

These little beauties are super cheap and easy to make, and very autumn-ish. They have helped me to savor the beauty of the Fall season instead of rushing on to Christmas.

Meet my pumpkin patch.

If you love them, the tutorial is here. May I suggest going with a lighter stain unless you have black furniture like ours. They recommend a dark walnut stain, which really made the pumpkins darker than I originally planned.

Have a beautiful Fall!
