Wha? 2010?!

I canNOT believe it's 2010! Mercy, how time flies. 2009 was an especially eventful year for Kirk and me. Here's a quick recap:

* Kirk graduated from BYU's marketing program in April
* We got engaged in May
* He accepted a job with HP (translation: move to Arkansas)
* We were married in July
* I started my bachelor of nursing program in August

Kirk is doing very well at work and keeps very busy as the ward mission leader. There are many opportunities to share the gospel. We are lucky to have hard-working missionaries. Kirk is also contemplating taking the GMAT this year!

This is my second of three semesters in the BSN program, and I'll be doing a lot of "community nursing," which means educating groups in the community and dealing with totally different issues than I deal with at the hospital. As for my calling, I'm the public affairs specialist AND the Relief Society pianist! Feel free to laugh, that's what I did when they called me. But I really need the practice, and playing the piano has always been a stress-reliever for me. The ladies are very patient with me as I occasionally forget to play the fourth verse, and sometimes I only play the right hand. C'est la vie, anything is better than acapella, right??

We had SO MUCH FUN being home for the holidays. I promised myself I'd take lots of pictures, but didn't touch my camera once. Luckily we still have some photos taken by siblings. These are from Christmas morning, sledding, and sleigh ride adventures. We also went to the Hale Center Theater to see a great performance of A Christmas Carol. But the best part of the trip was seeing our friends and families! (and eating at Cafe Rio)
