Belly Update

Finally, this little boy has made himself known! My belly has grown a lot in the last two weeks.

Good Times

Life is good! Lots to report on this month, so without further delay:

Baby is doing great! Week 21 means we are more than halfway through the pregnancy. I've been blessed with an easy pregnancy--no complications, nausea is totally gone (replaced by a healthy appetite), I sleep well, and most of my normal clothes still fit. The little guy moves and kicks quite a bit, which is the best part of pregnancy. The pictures below show his profile and one of his cute little feet.

Kirk turned 25 on June 18th!! We ate one heck of a meal at a deep-fried, rolled in salt, down home restaurant, and it was soooo tasty. We were on the edge of slipping in to a coma afterward, so we finished off the night with some home-made German Chocolate cake. One bonus of Kirk turning 25 is that our car insurance rates will go down. :) We had a really fun time celebrating.

Kirk and I have had an ongoing rivalry between us since the first time we spoke on the phone. At the time, he was attending BYU and I was going to the University of Utah. If you have any association with either of these universities, you'll understand the serious competition going on here. Now that we're pregnant, we joke about doing the nursery in "BYU Blue" or "Crimson Red" and what color the baby will wear on game day. Regretfully, motherhood has softened me. This is what Kirk got for Father's Day:

Baby Steele will be so cute in his little team shirt!

And...we are moving to Colorado. Seriously! Kirk accepted a job within his company's marketing division. We'll move the last week of July. Hello mountains, heat without humidity, and WAY fewer tornadoes. But I don't think Colorado has armadillos and possums...that's a shame.

Isn't it beautiful?
